Good times are coming to an end

Well I found a great way to make yourself depressed. That is to go to Europe, live in summer, race your bike (not too bad either), have a great time then head back home to cold, rain and work. It’s working a doozy on me.It’s not long till peter and I can count how many hours we have left here on our fingers and toes. Speaking of fingers im lucky to still have mine firmly intact after discovering fireworks are sold all year round here in France. It seems that some have longer burning wicks than others which generally seems to be a bit of surprise when you discover its fast burning (makes a loud bang in the car to).Had our lucky last race in MontGenevre last weekend. This saw some fast girlies having a go for top spot down a track that gives Israel a run for its dustiness (is Israel dusty?). Race pace was non existent as the sooner you tried to pin it the sooner you were sampling the local dust pile. The order was a fast ride down (see I never mentioned race). My first race run was as good as to be expected when you ride like a complete twat, but still managed 3rd fastest. Race 2 was somewhat better though still included the twat part. Sometimes you just have to settle for what you got. . . . I settled for 1st rather happily. I was happy with my result considering my competition was Emiline Ragot and Florine ? who are proving to be fast wee lasses. So with that I got a lovely piece of plastic (trophy) a riding top and an envelope with 2 notes in it to make me giggle with glee. The race and ceremonies was over by 3pm which is a record that I wish most race organizers tried to beat. Offski Pete and I went home and not taking long till our wee bellies were fill with our 3 dinners (I said id shout dinner and peter ran with the opportunity). That now leaves us with 1 1/2 days to cry ourselves to sleep in this wonderful place before we head home.
