So i left nz a week ago and since then i have racked about 40 hour of pure flying (that was acheived in the first 4 days). In that time i have been in 6 countries met up with 3 of my awesome team mates, picked up my fantastic Fusion bike, picked up 2 brang new fusion 4x4s, driven a fair few km, cheated death with luke at the wheel, practiced alpine relly and discovered we will be living in an appartment building we have dubbed 'the shining' for it creapy axe murderer feel.
Had our first race today (Sunday 6th may). It left much to be desired but then i have only done 6 dh runs on my DH bike. First run i cruised as i thought id die due to the fact were 1800m high. . .but that wasnt so. I decided to go alot harder for my second race run but then that went to the pooper when my chain decided to get stuck in my chain (notso) guide.
The guys are great and there havent been any punch ups yet and hopefully thats the way it stays. We all head to Vigo Spain soon for the first round of the World Cups. That will be interesting as i am riding like a tard and ill get my bottom kicked.
i have lots and lots of photos so once i remember to bring the memory stick ill be posting them.
stay cool, ciao
