A total of 25 minutes of DH riding on my new Fusion mountain bike and were off to the first world cup of the season. This is held in Vigo Spain and requires a 16 hour drive in our pimped Ssang Yong 4x4s. Admittedly they are nice to travel in but that runs out pretty quick. We met up with our coach in Annecy France then picked up another of our team mates Florent, which depending on how you say it can be a girls name or a boys. . . I pretend I can’t pronounce the boys name. As I write this im in the car just through the boarder of Spain with 3 lads who have looked at ‘gentle mans’ magazines for about 5 hours too long and going on about how road workers are all the same no matter what country your in.So anyway back on topic. Spent a few hours as the BMX track the other day on our fusions which pedal well but are definitely still DH bikes. That was cool and we had a pump race between us. I have little expectations of myself for Vigo as I haven’t ridden jack all and I don’t know the bike yet. So ill try and not stress out too much and treat it like a testing track. Not ideal but I do race better when im not freaking out. Update to come
